He was also involved in the WGI Percussion activity, marching with Legacy Indoor Percussion (2014-2016). After marching in the fall and winter ensembles at North Harrison High School, he went off to perform with the Cascades (2013), Pacific Crest (2014), and Oregon Crusaders (2015) Drum and Bugle Corps. Brantley Heath has been marching and teaching for the past several years in the Tri-State area. His graduate work is in the Masters of Science and Music Technology program at Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis. Humphries was an active performer and member of numerous collegiate and professional level ensembles. Humphries holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University where he majored in Music Education and minored in Symphonic Instruments. Prior to coming to Southport Middle School he was the Director of Bands at New Palestine High School The New Palestine Band Program consistently received Gold Ratings at Concert Band and Jazz Band Festivals and is a 9 time – ISSMA Marching Band State Finalist, 2 time Mid-State Band Association Class AAA Champion, 19 time – IPA State Finalist, 6 time – Percussion WGI National Finalist, 13 time – IHSCGA State Finalist, 2 time – Guard WGI National Finalist, and 3 time IPA and IHSCGA State Champion. Humphries is in his fifth year at Perry Township Schools.
